INTERMEDIATE

The Web Programming course is a hands-on introduction to web application development with a specific emphasis on the JavaScript programming language.  Today's websites demand function and interactivity.  JavaScript programming is the bridge between the client-facing "look" and the business logic, servers and systems that are the data "engines" on the back-end.  The HTML/CSS markup languages provide the basic appearance of web sites. Here we will focus on these as tools and provide interface knowledge between web HTML documents and the JavaScript logic components.

The course is not intended to teach website artistic style and composition skills. JavaScript is the primary programming language you will learn.  This class is a rigorous project-based instructional method but is designed to be approachable for those who have no experience.

The course is the front-end complement to Tech901's Code 1.0 Computer Science and Coding class.   After graduating from both of the Web Programming and Code 1.0 courses students will possess the essential entry-level full stack skills that employers seek.  Combined with a challenging set of programming exercises, this course will help you learn to think algorithmically while building your programming skills.
