DON'T PANIC

We get that the idea of an online evaluation might be stressful, but it doesn't have to be!

All Tech901 applicants are required to pass an assessment in order to enroll into our IT career training programs.

For the IT Professional track, trainees must pass the Compass. The goal is to perform at a 9th grade quantitative comprehension level, and a 10th grade verbal comprehension level.

For the Programming and Software Development track, applicants take the logic-based Navigator assessment. Trainees must must correctly answer 14 or more of the 22 questions in the assessment.

FAQ

tech_background_5.png

Why do I have to take an evaluation?

IT is an industry with a lot of opportunity for people of all abilities. Our courses at Tech901 are fast-paced, and require a lot of independent study. We've found that passing these assessment evaluations is a good indicator of course performance.

What do I need to take an evaluation?

  • You'll need a computer with a solid internet connection.

  •  You're allowed to have scratch paper and a calculator during your evaluation.

  • Once you start the test, you will not be able to pause or stop. Make sure you're in a quiet place without distractions.

What happens if I don't pass the evaluation?

If you have a tough time with the either evaluation, that's ok! You'll get a second chance to take it at the Tech901 offices.
